Teeth Whitening

Zoom Teeth Whitening Toronto

The benefits of a beautiful smile can be endless! Often times, unfortunately, our daily diet can negatively influence the appearance of our teeth, from beverages such as coffee, tea, and red wine. A good smile can be made great by a simple and easy cosmetic whitening or “bleaching” procedure. It is one of the most common and effective methods to treat stained or discolored teeth. Our office offers two convenient teeth whitening options: In Office Teeth Whitening, and Take Home Teeth Whitening.

In-Office Teeth Whitening:  Our office utilizes the newest ZOOM Tooth Whitening solution with their safest LED lamps (compared with Zoom’s older and less safe UV lamp technology, which unfortunately is still used in many dental offices). Performed under complete supervision of our dentists, Zoom utilizes a BPH-free and gluten-free whitening gel along with a whitening LED lamp to remove discoloured stains and coloured anomalies within the tooth, while maintaining the structure of the tooth unchanged. Zoom Teeth Whitening’s advanced technology ensures accelerated whitening, decreased sensitivity, and healing abilities of oral tissues. Results are seen immediately after the procedure is completed. Each session is approximately 1.5 hours long.

Take Home Teeth Whitening: Our take home whitening option allows each patient to whiten their teeth on their own schedule. With the use of a custom made tray and a dentist prescribed whitening gel, the patient can whiten their teeth in the comfort of their own home. Application timeline will be discussed to achieve maximum results.

Is Tooth Whitening Safe?  Yes! Retrospective clinical research has found tooth whitening to be extremely safe and effective. As with all whitening procedures, patients under 13 years old, or women who are pregnant or nursing should not be undergoing tooth whitening procedures.

Are There Side Effects? About 10% of the population will experience temporary tooth sensitivity after teeth whitening. Typically, these symptoms disappear after 24-48hours, and normal sensation will return. Our office will also provide each patient a specialized ACP Relief gel and toothpaste to  minimize the occurrence of post-operative sensitivity.

During your personalized consultation, a discussion will take place between you and your doctor to determine what your goals are, and how best to achieve them. A newfound sense of confidence can seep through your daily work and personal life.
